Glencore International PLC (GLEN.LN) is in advanced discussions with Agrium Inc. (AGU.T) and the privately owned Richardson International to pursue a joint bid for Viterra Inc. (VT.T), the Financial Times reported Thursday.

An offer is expected as soon as early next week, the FT reported, citing industry executives.

Bunge Ltd. (BG) and Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM) are also planning to make a bid for Viterra, the newspaper reported, citing industry executives.

Viterra said Thursday that it set up a formal process to consider possible takeover offers.
