RE:                          PROGRESS DRILLING REPORT FOR
                             CHINGUETTI 4-4 APPRAISAL WELL, OFFSHORE MAURITANIA

Dear Sir/Madam

Hardman Resources Ltd ("Hardman") provides the following progress report on the
drilling of the Chinguetti 4-4 appraisal well, offshore Mauritania.

Progress:                         The well was drilled to 2,599 metres and subsequently cored and drilled
                                  to the current depth of 2,706 metres.  Three cores were cut in the
(Previous 7 days to 14:00 hours   interval 2,599 to 2,706 metres.

                                  The current operation is reaming (widening the hole) at 2,618 metres
                                  prior to drilling ahead to total depth, after which wireline logs will
                                  be run.

                                  Note: All reported depths are referenced to the rig rotary table.


Geology & Hydrocarbon Shows:      Hydrocarbon shows will only be reported after wireline logs have been
                                  run and evaluated for that hole size section.

Prospect Description:             The Chinguetti 4-4 well will be drilled to a proposed total depth of
                                  2,925 metres, in the southern downthrown flank of the Chinguetti
                                  structure, approximately 1.5 kilometres east of the Chinguetti-1
                                  discovery well.

                                  Note:  Under the well naming convention adopted by the Mauritanian
                                  government all wells drilled by Woodside will follow the naming
                                  convention of "Chinguetti - Block No - Well No.".

              Roc Oil (Mauritania) Company            2.4%
              Agip Mauritania BV                     35.0%
              Woodside Mauritania Pty Ltd            35.0%
