Uber Technologies Inc. said it is starting seasonal deliveries for holiday items on its Uber Eats app.

The company's "Holiday Shop" will start Oct. 1 with Halloween items like pumpkins and carving kits for customers in Los Angeles, San Diego and West Palm Beach, Fla. Uber is partnering with Proper Cos.' holiday division, which includes Mr. Jack O' Lanterns Pumpkin Patch and Mr. Jingles Christmas Trees, for the shop, it said Thursday.

After Halloween, Uber said it will deliver other on-demand items for upcoming holidays like Christmas while it expands the offering to more areas.

"Over the last few years, we've seen our customer base become more interested in having our products delivered rather than coming into our brick-and-mortar locations," said Brandon Helfer, owner and operator of Jack O' Lanterns Pumpkin Patch.
