The Systemax Technology Group (NYSE:SYX), which includes TigerDirect.com, CompUSA.com, Circuit City.com, as well as TigerDirect and CompUSA retail stores, has recently appointed two new Executive Vice Presidents.

Jay Kent has been hired as the Executive Vice President of Logistics, overseeing the group’s two fulfillment centers, supply chain and logistics operations. Mr. Kent has a 25 year career in retail logistics at Federated Department Stores, Toys “R” Us, Linens and Things, and most recently Kohl’s Department Stores. At his previous companies, Mr. Kent greatly reduced logistics costs to world-class levels; and implemented programs which significantly reduced labor expenses while significantly increasing distribution center productivity.

“Jay Kent is an experienced executive with many accomplishments in his career,” said Gilbert Fiorentino, Chief Executive of the Systemax Technology Group. “With our ongoing expansion of retail and increased demands on the distribution centers, Jay brings significant retail and logistics experience to our growing operations.”

Rajesh Seth has been hired as the Executive Vice President of Retail Merchandising, overseeing retail merchandising for the technology multi-channel retailer. Mr. Seth joins the group after a 20 year career at Fry’s Electronics in a variety of roles leading to Director of Merchandising and Operations. At Fry’s, Mr. Seth oversaw the computer division with responsibility for sales, margins, personnel, product selection, and inventory management.

“Rajesh Seth understands retail and specifically selling computer products,” said Gilbert Fiorentino. “His long experience in merchandising, computer and telecommunications buying, sales and operations will allow us to further enhance our sales strategies.”

In his new Role, Mr. Seth’s responsibilities will include retail merchandising, advertising, and training to assist in taking the TigerDirect and CompUSA retail stores to the next level.
