Data-as-a-Service Solution Recognized for Infrastructure

State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT) today announced that its data management solution, DataGX, has been named “Best Tech Vendor for Data Management” by RISK.net. The data-as-a-service technology platform, which sits within State Street’s Global Exchange business, helps clients manage and enrich multi-asset class data, while providing a holistic view of their business for portfolio management, analytics and reporting. DataGX is a scalable, cloud-based solution that allows clients to more completely measure and evaluate risk, address regulatory concerns and make more informed, real-time trading decisions.

This is the inaugural year for the RISK.net Buy-side Awards which is comprised of 32 categories and recognizes best practices among buy-side firms in risk management and the derivatives markets.

“Today’s investment climate requires an overwhelming amount of data, and for many asset owners and managers, these large data sets are still administered across multiple platforms and systems, causing inefficiencies from both a resource and technology standpoint,” said Ivan Matviak, executive vice president and head of State Street Global Exchange in North America. “The effective management of data remains a core challenge for clients and one that will only become more complex with new regulatory mandates around data generation and reporting.”

Late last year State Street hired Subbiah Subramanian, an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, as senior vice president and head of DataGX Client Delivery for North America to lead new client engagements and drive client implementations for DataGX.

“We will continue to work together with our clients to increase the efficiency and value of their front office so they can focus more of their time on performance and forward-looking insights,” said Subramanian.
