State Street Global Advisors (SSgA),* the asset management business of State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT), today announced that SPDR ETFs were awarded the Most Recognized ETF Brand for the Americas for the fifth consecutive year at the 8th Annual Global ETF Awards Dinner held in New York on April 26, 2012.

SSgA is also proud to announce that Jim Ross, senior managing director and global head of SPDR Exchange Traded Funds, was honored with the inaugural Nate Most Greatest Contributor to the ETF Industry award.

  • ETP that raised the most assets (in absolute growth) for the Americas: SPDR Gold Shares
