State Street to Sponsor Full Range of Red Sox Activities for Major League Baseball's RICOH JAPAN OPENING SERIES 2008

State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT), the world�s leading provider

additional details of its sponsorship of Major League Baseball�s
(MLB) RICOH JAPAN OPENING SERIES 2008 between the Boston Red Sox
and the Oakland Athletics (A�s). State Street is also partnering
with NESN, New England�s most watched sports network, as the
presenting sponsor of the network�s comprehensive coverage of the
Red Sox trip to Japan branded under the title, The Red Sox Go
Global. The State Street sponsored activities will commence on
Wednesday March 19th during the final Red Sox Spring Training game
in Ft. Myers at City of Palms Park against the Toronto Blue Jays.
State Street will host the official send-off from the Red Sox
training camp facility as the team departs for Japan. On Monday,
March 24 at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, State Street will host a
clinic in partnership with Major League Baseball to encourage youth
participation in the game of baseball. As part of�State Street�s
continued commitment to supporting local community programs in
which it operates, the MLB/State Street Japan Opening Day Clinic
will provide approximately 120 youths between the ages of 7�15 the
opportunity to hone their hitting, throwing and fielding skills
with the help of the Boston Red Sox coaches and special guests. �We

two-game series between the World Series Champion Red Sox and the

the two games against the A�s on March 25th and 26th and NESN
Presents: The Red Sox Go Global, a half-hour special on March 29th
that will recap the Red Sox season opening trip. To celebrate Major
League Baseball�s RICOH JAPAN OPENING SERIES 2008, State Street
will host a Watch Party on March 25 at the State Street Pavilion at
Fenway Park. More than 130 children representing community
organizations from the Boston area will be invited to meet Red Sox
legends and watch the Red Sox commence the 2008 season by taking on
