Stanley Black & Decker Inc. (SWK) is recalling about 211,000 hammers sold at Walmart Inc. (WMT) stores due to an injury hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday.

The agency said the recall involves the Stanley 16-ounce hammer model number STHT51454, which has a metal head, a wood handle and a black over-molded grip.

The CPSC said the grip can come loose, posing an injury hazard to consumers. Stanley Black & Decker has received one report of the grip coming loose, with no injuries reported, the agency added.

The hammers were sold exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide from July 2018 through August 2019 for about $6 apiece.
