Adds Aaron Halfacre as EVP and Head of
Capital Markets
Campus Crest Communities, Inc. (NYSE: CCG), a leading developer,
builder, owner and manager of high-quality student housing
properties, today announced that it has hired Aaron Halfacre, CFA
as an Executive Vice President and Head of Capital Markets,
effective August 1, 2014.
“Aaron joins us formally as an executive officer and the head of
our capital markets, but more importantly Aaron joins us in the
capacity of a change agent. Many of you know Aaron and you know he
is a candid advocate for shareholders. He has spent his entire
sixteen year career, in real estate, the REIT community and the
buy-side, looking at business decisions through the lens of an
investor,” said Ted W. Rollins, the Company’s Chief Executive
Officer. “He is both qualified and disciplined and our entire team
finds his energy refreshing. We are excited to have him as a part
of our team."
Mr. Halfacre comes most recently from Cole Real Estate
Investments, a publicly traded net lease REIT that recently merged
into American Realty Capital Properties, where he was Head of
Strategic Relations. In that role, he worked closely with the CEO,
COO and CFO to help craft strategy and was the primary
representative for institutional investors. Prior to Cole, he held
senior leadership roles at BlackRock, the world's largest
investment manager, to include COO of a global equity team and Head
of Product Development in their institutional real estate group.
Earlier, he worked at Green Street Advisors, the leading
independent REIT research firm, where he first established his
long-standing relationships with the REIT investment community.
Mr. Halfacre is a CFA® charterholder, has an MBA in finance from
Rice University and holds an undergraduate degree in accounting
from College of Santa Fe.
