KBR Selected for Security, Disaster, Infrastructure, Construction Work on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Contract

KBR (NYSE:KBR) today announced it has been selected by the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Omaha District to compete for
future task orders under the USACE Omaha District�s Security,
Disaster, Infrastructure, Construction (SDIC) contract. Two other
companies were also selected to compete for tasks throughout the
contract period. The total contract value to be dispersed among the
three contractors is $490 million. Under the contract and upon
award of a future task order(s), KBR will provide a full range of
construction services that will vary in size and scope depending on
the USACE�s needs as stipulated in individual task orders. This
task order contract is designed to support fast track construction
for time sensitive project execution in support of numerous federal
agencies. KBR will compete for projects with two other firms, and
once a task order is awarded, government agencies will benefit from
a contract vehicle that fully supports their urgent construction
