DISA Awards Harris Corporation $7 Million Systems Engineering and Integration Contract for Multinational Information Sharing Program MELBOURNE, Fla., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), a leading provider of mission-critical technical services, announced today that it has been selected by the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency(DISA) for a three-year, $7 million task order as part of the Multinational Information Sharing(MNIS) Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite- Quantity(IDIQ) program. The MNIS program provides a consolidated approach to the information sharing that is required to ensure future multinational command and control interoperability between the Department of Defense(DoD) and allied forces. Under the terms of the contract, Harris Technical Services Corporation(HTSC) is providing systems engineering and integration(SE&I) support for a broad range of technical processes; systems engineering; and the operational, sustainment and management functions of DISA's MNIS program. This integrated approach will help the DoD implement a single solution that is global, secure, and enables the seamless sharing of information with multinational interests. MNIS will also establish strict policies and standards, centralize funding and requirements, and reduce the number of disparate networks used by coalition forces.
