Harris Corporation Names Former Homeland Security Spokesperson Marc Raimondi Director of Communications in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation
(NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information
technology company, has named former Department of Homeland
Security (DHS) spokesperson Marc Raimondi director of
communications in Washington, D.C. In this new position, Raimondi,
39, is responsible for building Harris Corporation's image and
brand awareness, particularly for its government business in the
national capital region. His primary focus will include company
branding, media relations, advertising, awards and speaking
opportunities. "Harris has a 40-year legacy of supporting major
U.S. government initiatives and today participates in more than 300
diverse programs involving the Department of Defense and virtually

communications experience and strong reputation will be a

very important region." Before joining Harris, Raimondi served as
the national spokesperson for the DHS' U.S. Immigration and Customs
Enforcement area, the main investigative arm of the DHS charged
with protecting national security and public safety through
enforcement of the nation's immigration and customs laws. Prior to
DHS, he spent nearly 11 years in a variety of communications
assignments with the Department of the U.S. Army in Washington,
D.C., as well as in Iraq, Kuwait, Kosovo, Macedonia, Italy,
Germany, and Kwajalein Atoll. His work required daily interaction
with major national and international media organizations on
significant issues and operations within the realm of national
security and public safety. Raimondi earned his bachelor's degree
in Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts and a
Graduate Studies Certificate in Communication Theory from the
University of Oklahoma Graduate School of Communications. He also
attended resident courses at the Army Management Staff College and
at the DoD's Defense Information School. In the Washington, D.C.
