Digital Signage from Harris Corporation Installed in World's Second Largest Building HONG KONG, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, is supplying all of the digital signage for The Venetian(R) Macao-Resort-Hotel, a fully integrated resort that is the largest building in Asia and the second largest in the world. With InfoCaster(TM) systems being placed throughout the resort's casino and conference facilities, The Venetian Macao is Harris Corporation's largest casino installation of InfoCaster Digital Signage(TM) solutions. Phase one of the Harris digital signage project includes InfoCaster(TM) players, including both quad-channel and dual-channel systems; InfoCaster(TM) creation stations, used to design InfoCast presentations and templates for InfoCaster(TM) players; and a Network Manager system, which allows operators to control specific devices with targeted messaging throughout a large-scale InfoCaster(TM) network. "InfoCaster Digital Signage(TM) solutions are ideally suited to this type of application, as it provides a customized solution to address every digital signage requirement -- not just in the casinos themselves, but throughout the resort facilities," said Tim Thorsteinson, president of Harris Broadcast Communications. "With the tight integration of InfoCaster(TM) systems and Network Manager, The Venetian Macao will have a flexible digital display solution, a scalable messaging platform and exceptional video quality that is in keeping with the standard that guests of this unprecedented luxury resort expect." The InfoCaster Digital Signage(TM) solution was designed to create, synchronize, and deliver individualized messages throughout The Venetian Macao resort. In the casino area, the InfoCaster(TM) systems will retrieve progressive-jackpot-amount data from a central server, and combine this information with other messages from the resort's sales and marketing department. In the convention facilities, the InfoCaster(TM) systems will retrieve conference room assignment data and other exhibitor information from the main server for display in predefined zones. The small Asian enclave of Macao has recently unseated Las Vegas as the top gambling market in the world. The new Venetian Macao features 1 million square feet of meeting, convention and exhibition space, and casino facilities housing 800 gaming tables and 6,000 slot machines. InfoCaster Digital Signage(TM) solutions take a full-picture approach to deploying digital signage for a wide range of markets and display environments. InfoCaster(TM) creation stations enable easy acquisition and content creation of graphics, live video and dynamic data content, while InfoCaster(TM) players synchronize and deliver content from multiple sources to thousands of remote displays spread over a nationwide network, addressing individual messaging display requirements. Advanced management, scheduling and monitoring tools give users unprecedented control and flexibility over the enterprise network.
