James L. Christie, VP - Compliance and Financial Services, to Retire in April MELBOURNE, Fla., March 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has promoted John L. Draheim, 52, to vice president -- Financial Services and Assistant Treasurer, and Terry L. Feiser, 51, to vice president -- Internal Audit and Compliance. Draheim is in the company's financial organization while Feiser reports to the Audit Committee of the Harris Board of Directors. Also, James L. Christie, vice president -- Compliance and Financial Services, has announced his intention to retire in April. He has been responsible for internal auditing; financial shared services; environmental, health and safety; real estate; and corporate flight activities. "Jim has brought a steady hand and a sharp mind to the increasingly complex field of corporate financial services," said Howard L. Lance, Harris chairman, president and chief executive officer. "Jim was among the vanguard of Harris managers that first occupied the Harris corporate offices in Melbourne in 1978, and his leadership has helped to guide our financial organization for almost 30 years. He will be greatly missed." Prior to being named to his current position in 2005, Christie had been vice president -- Controller since 1999. He also had served as vice president -- Internal Audit, division controller at Harris Graphics Corporation, and division controller of the former Harris Semiconductor Digital Products Division. He joined Harris in 1978. "John Draheim and Terry Feiser are incredibly talented and will bring significant experience and a high energy level to their new assignments," said Gary L. McArthur, vice president and chief financial officer. In his new position, Draheim will retain his responsibilities as Assistant Treasurer for Harris and in addition will be responsible for Sales Finance, Financial Shared Services, Financial IT, and the Financial Shared Services Centers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to joining Harris in 2005, Draheim held key financial positions including Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer for ViaPay Ltd. in London, UK, Director of Treasury for the Asia-Pacific region of Emerson Electric Company, and Group Treasurer for Astec (PLC) based in Hong Kong. He has a BA degree in International Relations from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio, and an MBA degree in Finance from American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Glendale, Arizona. Feiser will assume responsibility for all audit coordination of compliance programs. Previously, he served as Director of Internal Audit responsible for Financial Audit, Compliance Audits and Information Services Audit functions. Feiser joined Harris in 1979 and has held increasingly responsible positions in contracts, government compliance and internal audit. He received a BSBA degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, and a MBA degree from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.
