ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, announced that its RF Communications Division has attained a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI(R)) Level 3 rating for Systems Engineering from the Software Engineering Institute (SEI). The CMMI Level 3 rating was awarded for exceptional process maturity in the division's project engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, quality assurance, subcontracts and other functions. CMMI is a worldwide process integration and product improvement standard, and its ratings have become a key competitive differentiator on many government programs. The Maturity Level 3 rating indicates process and product excellence. The registered appraisal was performed at various locations throughout the RF Communications campus in Rochester, New York, against the CMMI for Systems Engineering (CMMI-SE) criteria.
