FALLS CHURCH, Va., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), a leading supplier of information technology services, today announced that it has been awarded a contract to provide Information Assurance (IA) services to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) as part of the Raytheon Company (NYSE:RTN) team. Under terms of the contract, Harris Technical Services Corporation will provide a variety of technical services, including program management, life- cycle planning, intrusion detection and prevention, information system security, and public key infrastructure technology, as well as support other IA special projects. The work will be performed at NGA facilities in the greater Washington, D.C., and St. Louis, Missouri, metropolitan areas. The NGA is a major intelligence and combat support agency of the Department of Defense. The agency supports U.S. national policy makers and military forces by providing timely, relevant, and accurate geospatial intelligence derived by the exploitation and analysis of imagery and geospatial information to describe, assess, and visually depict physical features and geographically referenced activities on the Earth.
