ENI SpA (ENI.MI) said Thursday that General Electric Co. (GE)
will supply 13 onshore turbines for a wind farm that the Italian
energy company is building in Kazakhstan.
GE Renewable Energy will provide 13 of its 3.8-130 turbines,
which each have a capacity of 3.8 megawatts, for the Badamsha
project, ENI said.
Neither company disclosed the contract's value.
The plant--ENI's first large investment in wind power--will have
a total generation capacity of 48 MW and will increase Kazakhstan's
wind-energy output by 25%.
