Eni SpA (ENI.MI) said Tuesday that it has signed an agreement
with Croatia's INA-Industrija Nafte dd (INA.ZG) to evaluate
developing a gas interconnector between Italy and Croatia.
The project will aim to use existing infrastructure--currently
used for offshore gas production activities--for gas transport
between the countries, Eni said.
The Italian oil-and-gas major last week agreed to sell its
Croatian subsidiary, which produces around 2,500 barrels of oil
equivalent a day, to INA.
