Item 8.01 Other Events.

On June 16, 2023, Customers Bancorp, Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing the acquisition of a $631 million loan portfolio from the FDIC at a significant discount and the recruitment of a new venture banking team to service these clients. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
