Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.

The purpose of this report is to clarify the response to a question asked during Astoria Financial Corporation’s 2007 third quarter earnings conference call held on Thursday afternoon, October 18, 2007. During the question and answer portion of the conference call, information concerning the size and geographic breakdown of the Company’s construction loan portfolio was requested. The following information is provided herewith to clarify management’s response given during the conference call. At September 30, 2007, the Company’s construction loan portfolio totaled $89.4 million and was dispersed geographically as follows:
