Daniel P. Amos, AFLAC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Named the Best CEO for Insurance/Life by Institutional Investor Magazine COLUMBUS, Ga., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Daniel P. Amos, AFLAC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, has been named the Best CEO for the Insurance/Life category by Institutional Investor magazine for the second consecutive year. Amos began working in sales for AFLAC in 1973. In 1983, he was named president and then chief operating officer in 1987. Amos was named chief executive officer of AFLAC Incorporated in 1990. He has been chairman since 2001. Amos is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in risk management and insurance.
