MedAptus' Point-of-Care Solution Suite Strengthened via Integration of Zix Corporation's PocketScript(R) e-Prescribing Application Longstanding MedAptus Charge Capture Customer Deploys New Offering to Reap Benefits of Interoperability SALT LAKE CITY, May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- MedAptus today announced that PocketScript(R), an e-prescribing application from Dallas-based Zix Corporation (ZixCorp(R)) (NASDAQ:ZIXI), is now generally available through the MedAptus solution suite. In addition, Dedham Medical Associates (DMA), a multi-specialty group practice located in greater Boston, has agreed to deploy PocketScript to 71 physicians. DMA is the second MedAptus customer to contract for the integrated solution. ZixCorp is a global provider of secure e-messaging, e-prescribing, and e- transaction applications and services. Its PocketScript solution enables physicians to write and generate e-prescriptions through wireless handheld devices directly to the pharmacy. The system also includes real-time formulary information, drug-to-drug and drug-to-allergy interaction checking, a drug reference guide, and a patient's dispensed drug history.
