Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM) on Tuesday said it reached a new five-year, direct worldwide patent license agreement with South Korea's LG Electronics Inc. (066570.SE).

The San Diego chip maker said the royalty-bearing agreement grants LG a license to develop, make and sell 3G, 4G and 5G single-mode and multimode complete devices.

Qualcomm said the agreement is consistent with its established global licensing terms.
