CLEVELAND, Nov. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Lincoln Electric
Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: LECO) announced today that Doug Lance and Thomas
Matthews have been elected officers of the Company.
Mr. Lance was named Vice President, Operations, and Mr.
Matthews was appointed Vice President, R&D.

In his new position, Mr. Lance will have responsibility for
Lincoln's Cleveland operational
processes and staff. Additionally, he will be responsible for
Lincoln's welding equipment manufacturing operations in
Torreon, Mexico.
Mr. Lance began his career at Lincoln Electric as an Engineering
Trainee in April 1990, after
graduating from the University of
Toledo with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical
engineering. He has also completed Lincoln's International
Business Development program at Thunderbird School of Global
Management.
Throughout his 21-year career, Mr. Lance has held numerous
positions of increasing responsibility with Lincoln's Consumable
and Machine divisions, including the areas of plant engineering and
quality assurance. He has also served as the Company's Mentor Plant
Superintendent, Consumable Division General Manager and, most
recently, Machine Division General Manager.
As Vice President of R&D, Mr. Matthews will have
responsibility for Lincoln's North American product development
processes and staff, and he will continue to coordinate the
Company's design efforts around the world.
Mr. Matthews joined Lincoln as an Engineering Trainee in 1988
and was promoted to several product development positions prior to
becoming Director of Machine R&D in 2004. He earned a
bachelor of science degree in physics, with minors in chemistry and
mathematics, from Southern Oregon State College. He also completed
post-graduate work in mechanical engineering at the University of Washington, earned an MBA from the
Weatherhead School of Management at Case
Western Reserve University, and completed Lincoln's
International Business Development program at Thunderbird School of
Global Management.
