Company opens new West Coast office with state-of-the-art education
center to support contact center automation and enterprise IP
telephony software solutions Interactive Intelligence Inc.
(Nasdaq:ININ), a global developer of business communications
software, has opened a new regional office in Irvine, California to
provide West Coast customers and resellers better access to service
and sales support for its contact center automation and enterprise
IP telephony software solutions. The Irvine office is part of an
ongoing strategy to add education centers around the globe that
supplement the company's existing North American training facility
at its global headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. The new Irvine
office will initially be staffed by sales, support, and
professional services specialists from both Interactive
Intelligence and the company's Vonexus subsidiary responsible for
its enterprise IP communications solutions. The new 3,700 square
foot facility is equipped with high-tech training and demonstration
centers, and is located at Park Place in the Prudential building,
3333 Michelson Dr., Suite 260. The Irvine office will officially
open Thursday, Sept. 7, during which the company will host tours
and product demonstrations from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. for customers,
partners and prospects. For more information about the Interactive

317-872-3000; or e-mail seminars@inin.com. Of the company's more
than 2,000 customers worldwide, more than 100 are located in
California, including name brand accounts such as California Credit
Union, California First National Bancorp, Fidelity National
Financial, County of Orange, IndyMac Bank, National Pen, National
Recreational Properties, PETCO, Ronco Inventions and Trader Joe's.
According to customers, having a local office for better access to
services will help them more effectively use the company's software
to address unique regional business challenges. "One issue in our
area is staying competitive despite the high price of technology,"
said Keith Abbott, vice president of telephony and application
development for Irvine-based National Recreational Properties.
"With its single-platform, 'all-in-one' approach that reduces
server requirements by up to one-third and more, the Interactive
Intelligence software has enabled us to support nearly 500
employees using minimal hardware housed in one small data room,
thus dramatically reducing our overhead costs. "Another challenge
in Southern California is commuter traffic and the stress and time
drain it puts on employees," added Abbott. "This same software,
with its remote agent support and built-in voice over IP
capabilities, will enable us to expand our employee base using
work-at-home agents, thus further reducing overhead costs, while
broadening our labor pool and increasing employee retention through
a more favorable work-life balance." The Irvine office represents
an increasing investment by Interactive Intelligence in localized
services to better support customers and resellers worldwide. "Our
commitment to innovation has helped us become a market leader in
communications technologies such as VoIP and SIP, but equally
important is our ability to be there when customers and partners
need us most," said Interactive Intelligence president and CEO, Dr.
Donald E. Brown. "In order to provide more effective service and
support, we're investing in additional regional training facilities
both here and abroad, which will further enhance the value of our
software, and ensure that we can compete and win against our
largest competitors based, not only on superior products, but on
highly accessible, quality education programs." Interactive
Intelligence plans to open a regional office in Washington, D.C. by
the end of the year to provide local service and sales support to
customers and resellers throughout the East. In addition to its
existing training facility located at its world headquarters in
Indianapolis, Interactive Intelligence also offers education
services at its Asia Pacific headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, and via
local training partners headquartered throughout Australia, Europe,
the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as South Africa.
Interactive Intelligence also has plans to expand its existing U.K.
headquarters and Amsterdam sales office next year to better
accommodate regional service and support needs. The company offers
its software direct and through a global channel of more than 250
value-added resellers that provide local tier-one service and
support. About Interactive Intelligence Interactive Intelligence
