featured July 1 on No. 17 Fifth Third Ford
Fifth Third Bank (Nasdaq:FITB) announced that Chad Matchett,
owner of Indianapolis-based Healthy Smiles of Indiana, has been
named the winner of the Bank’s “What Drives You” Small Business
Contest.
“Dental care is critical for families in need, and the level of
dedication from Chad and his team to give back to the community is
truly admirable,” said Kala Gibson, head of Business Banking for
Fifth Third Bank. “Chad is the perfect example of how a small
business owner’s hard work can build a community and inspire
others.”
Healthy Smiles of Indiana’s logo will be featured on Ricky
Stenhouse Jr.’s No. 17 Fifth Third Ford during the Coke Zero 400
Powered By Coca-Cola. To be held at Daytona International Speedway
on July 1, the race is one of NASCAR’s most anticipated events of
the year.
“We are honored and excited to win the What Drives You Small
Business Contest,” Matchett said. “Having our small business
featured on such a big stage is something we will remember
forever.”
Matchett also will receive a VIP experience to the race to see
his logo fly around the track. This includes airfare, hotel
accommodations, pit box seating and a chance to meet Stenhouse Jr.,
who secured his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series victory last
month.
The Fifth Third Bank “What Drives You” Small Business Contest
ran from April 24-May 7 and was open to businesses with fewer than
100 employees in the Bank’s 10-state footprint. Three finalists
were selected by a panel of judges from Fifth Third Bank for the
way they rev up the communities they serve, never slow down and
never stop pushing toward the finish line. Finalists included BGA
School Buses, Healthy Smiles of Indiana and Walser Technology
Group. The public voted to identify one winner. No purchase was
necessary.
Meet the Winner: Healthy Smiles of Indiana
Matchett started Healthy Smiles of Indiana, a nonprofit
organization providing preventive dental care to children in need
in Central Indiana, 10 years ago. His team visits 75 elementary and
middle schools in the Indianapolis area. According to Matchett,
there are thousands of children in Central Indiana that do not have
the means to receive basic preventive dental care. As a nonprofit
organization, the company offers its services at no cost to
families in need.
In 2017, the program reached $1 million in care donated to kids
in need. Matchett is the only practicing dentist and is surrounded
by a team of four. This includes his wife, who serves as his
chairside assistant and program director, a hygienist and a
treatment coordinator.
