Facebook Inc. (FB) is simplifying privacy settings for Groups to
a more "intuitive" model, categorizing settings as "public" and
"private" instead of "public", "closed" or "secret."
The company said it has "worked closely with global privacy
experts and advocates who are working to raise awareness of how to
better manage your information online."
Facebook said that "admins will be able to clearly choose
whether or not the group can be found in search and other
places."
The company also detailed its efforts to keep private groups
safe, focusing on "proactive detection, tools for admins, and
transparency and control for members."
