LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- 2015
International CES, Booth #10246 -- DTS, Inc. (Nasdaq: DTSI), a
leader in high-definition audio solutions, has announced the
addition of Anam Electronics, a top global ODM firm specializing in
the design and manufacture of audio video equipment, to its Play-Fi
Certified ODM Program.
Anam Electronics is the first Korean audio manufacturer in the
Play-Fi Certified ODM Program, joining several other industry
leaders, including Eastech Electronics Inc., Fenda Technology Co.,
Ltd., LiteOn Technology Corporation, Meiloon Industrial Co. Ltd.,
Solidex Audio Corporation, Tymphany Corporation, Wistron
Corporation and Zylux Acoustic Corp.
"Anam Electronics is another key addition to the global
ecosystem DTS is building with Play-Fi technology," said
Brian Towne, DTS executive vice
president and president of DTS Asia Pacific. "With the world-class
manufacturers of our Play-Fi ODM Program, DTS is able to connect
potential licensees with their choice of pre-qualified production
partners. The addition of these committed manufacturing resources
makes the process even simpler and faster for brands to bring
Play-Fi equipped products to market."
Play-Fi is an advanced open audio platform capable of streaming
lossless, high-quality audio from Android, iOS and Kindle Fire
devices, as well as Windows PCs, to multiple rooms, from multiple
users, simultaneously using a standard home Wi-Fi network. Unlike
single speaker wireless solutions, which only allow users to stream
directly to one speaker from their mobile devices, Play-Fi gives
full control of an entire network of speakers in the home. Users
can set-up, link, and stream audio to one Play-Fi enabled speaker
or multiple speakers throughout the home at once, perfectly
synchronized and with no lag. Play-Fi users also have the
flexibility to connect to any of their favorite speaker brands that
incorporate Play-Fi technology.
"Play-Fi delivers a flexible, high-quality in-home listening
experience as today's listeners take advantage of a broad range of
music streaming services," said Dannie
Lau, general manager, Play-Fi Division, DTS, Inc. "With our
ODM allies, such as Anam Electronics, Play-Fi technology is
perfectly positioned for brands that wish to offer a wireless
multi-room speaker solution to their customers."
