Display Controller for High Speed Serial Interfaces, WLED Drivers,
EMI Filters and HDM(TM) 1.3 Port Protectors SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov.
7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- California Micro Devices (NASDAQ:CAMD),
a leading supplier of application specific analog semiconductor
products for mobile handsets, personal computers and digital
consumer electronics, will be showcasing its new dual display and
audio controller, Application Specific Integrated Passive(TM)
(ASIP(TM)) and mixed signal solutions for mobile handset
applications, as well as its latest HDMI(TM) 1.3 MediaGuard(TM)
port protection solutions for digital TV at the 2006 Flat
Information Displays Conference in San Jose from November 8 through
10. Display Controller for High Speed Serial Interfaces CMD's new
dual display and audio controller is designed for wireless handsets
that use a high speed interface to the display. The CM5100 features
a fully compliant, MDDI based serial client, an integrated display
controller with embedded memory that supports primary thin film
transistor (TFT) liquid crystal displays (LCDs) with resolutions up
to QVGA (320x240) and secondary displays. The CM5100's unique
architecture is optimized for use with today's most advanced TFT
LCD modules that feature drivers integrated directly on the display
glass and also allows the use of low cost, RAM-less drivers for
non- integrated display modules. MediaGuard HDMI(TM) 1.3 Port
Protection for Digital TV The CM2030 and CM2031 MediaGuard HDMI(TM)
1.3 port protectors integrate ESD (electrostatic discharge)
protection, backdrive protection, overcurrent protection, voltage
level shifting, as well as active DDC pullups and CEC slew rate
limiting. These multifunction ASIP devices support the latest
advanced HDMI(TM) 1.3 requirements including higher speeds, as well
as CEC enhancements and extended length cable support. PhotonIC(R)
WLED Drivers for Wireless Handsets CMD's PhotonIC product offering,
including charge pump and inductor boost architectures, provides
power efficiency, cost effectiveness and maximum space savings. Its
innovative FlexBoost(TM) technology supplies asymmetric voltage
outputs, providing significant power savings for the lighting
subsystem. Praetorian(R) EMI Filters for Wireless Handsets
Praetorian EMI (electromagnetic interference) filter arrays are
designed for the latest multimedia enabled wireless handsets with
high data rates between the baseband processor and high resolution
displays and cameras. Groundbreaking Praetorian process technology
allows the integration of spiral inductors with capacitors and ESD
protection diodes in a single chip design, providing superior EMI
filtering, high cutoff frequencies, minimal insertion loss, sharp
rolloff and greater levels of attenuation at high frequencies.
