Alabama National BanCorporation Announces New Directors

Alabama National BanCorporation (NASDAQ: ALAB) announced the
addition of two new directors, Bobby A. Bradley and W. Edgar
Welden, to serve on the Alabama National BanCorporation Board of
Directors. Bobby A. Bradley resides in Huntsville, AL, and was
President and CEO of Computer Systems Technology, Inc. (CST), a
high technology research and development company with over $90
million in sales and more than 1000 employees. Ms. Bradley and two
associates founded the company in 1989 to provide innovative
technologies and solutions to Government and commercial
organizations. CST was acquired by Science Applications
International Corporation (SAIC) in April, 2003. In April 2004, Ms.
Bradley retired from SAIC and currently manages two investment
LLCs. In June 1971, Ms. Bradley received her Bachelor of Science
degree in math from Vanderbilt University. She and her husband,
Charley Burruss, have one adult daughter. Ms. Bradley's
professional career has included employment with Northrop
Corporation (1971-1972) as a mathematician, Computer Sciences
Corporation (1972-1974) as a computer programmer, and the U.S. Army
Missile Command (1974-1989) as an operations research analyst. Ms.
Bradley has been involved in numerous professional and community
organizations. Her professional activities included the Society of
Cost Estimating and Analysis (President, 1992-93), National
Technical Association, National Contract Management Association,
and AUSA and ADPA. Her community activities have included Board
positions with the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville/Madison
County Chamber of Commerce, Madison County United Way, and the
Huntsville Land Trust. She has received numerous awards including
the Outstanding Achievement Award from Girls, Incorporated,
Leadership Award from the Distinguished Young Men of Huntsville
(1994 & 1995), Nominee for the Minority Small Business Person
of the Year (1994), and the Eagle Award (1995). She was one of
three CEOs nominated in June 1997 by the Huntsville/Madison County
Chamber of Commerce for Executive of the Year. In June 1998, she
was selected Executive of the Year by the Huntsville/Madison County
Chamber. Currently she holds board positions with the Huntsville
Madison County Leadership, Huntsville Botanical Gardens, Federal
Reserve Bank Branch Birmingham and the Alabama Aerospace Industrial
Association. W. Edgar Welden resides in Birmingham, AL, and is a
retired partner in various companies involved in real estate
development, property management and the mortgage business. A
native of Wetumpka, AL, Mr. Welden is a 1965 graduate of the
University of Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science
degree from the School of Commerce and Business Administration. He
is married to Louise Cleve Welden and they have two adult children
and 7 grandchildren. Active in politics, Mr. Welden has held
various positions of leadership including election as an Alabama
Republican National Committeeman and serving as a Member of the
Republican 2000 Site Selection Committee and as Special Events
Chairman of the 2000 Republican National Convention in
Philadelphia. In 1987, Mr. Welden took a leave of absence from
business to serve as Acting Director of the Alabama Development
Office (ADO) and the Alabama Department of Economic and Community
Affairs (ADECA) and as Special Assistant to the Governor for
Economic Affairs where he served in these official cabinet
positions without pay. In this role, he was selected as Alabama's
Citizen of the Year for 1987 by the Alabama Broadcasters
Association. He was the recipient of the National Governors'
Association Distinguished Service to State Government Award in
1992. Mr. Welden remains active in the community serving as
Chairman - Alabama Sports Hall of Fame; President - Birmingham
Athletic Partnership; Board Member - Alabama Humanities Foundation;
Former Captain, Monday Morning Quarterback Club; Board Member -
Crippled Children's Foundation; Member - President's Cabinet of The
University of Alabama; Member - Board of Visitors for the College
of Commerce of University of Alabama; and Member - Troy University
Foundation Board. Alabama National is a bank holding company
operating 83 locations through ten bank subsidiaries in Alabama,
Florida and Georgia. The largest subsidiary for the holding company
is First American Bank with 34 offices in Clay, Jefferson, Lee,
Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Shelby, St. Clair, and Talladega
Counties.
