ARRIS Announces Sales Force Realignment Gordy Halverson to Retire
During 2004 DULUTH, Ga., Nov. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ARRIS
today announced that it has realigned its worldwide sales
organization, following the announcement by ARRIS veteran and
Executive Vice President Gordy Halverson that he intends to retire
during 2004. Halverson spent 35 years with ARRIS in a variety of
corporate positions including CEO of TeleWire Supply. Most
recently, he headed up domestic sales and marketing. He was
inducted into Cable Pioneers in 1992, and was awarded NCTA's
Vanguard Award for Associates in 1993. He has served on many
industry committees and is currently a member of the CablePac
board. Under the new alignment, all sales will now report to Ron
Coppock, who becomes President, ARRIS Worldwide Sales. Previously,
Coppock was President of International Sales, joining ARRIS in 1997
when ANTEC acquired Texscan. Prior to that, he held senior
management and sales positions with Oak Communications, Pioneer and
Scientific-Atlanta. In his new role, Coppock will direct sales for
the company's three Business Units: Broadband, TeleWire Supply and
