These initial deployments of this advanced DPI (deep packet inspection) appliance have exceeded the Company's expectations with wins at a new Tier-1 mobile and cable operator, as well as deployments at multiple universities across the globe.

The PL8720 is the industry's first purpose-built 2RU (rack unit), 10-gig DPI appliance specifically designed for customers with explosive network growth who are transitioning from GE (gigabit Ethernet) to 10GE links or require high port-density. PL8720 enables capacity that previously has been the privilege of chassis-based DPI solutions. The compact 2RU form factor offers up to eight 10GE or 16 GE ports in a single appliance. The CAPEX, OPEX and power efficient design has positive impact on the cost and the return on investment, and simplifies the investment decision for network operators.
