Customers Will Save Almost 15% From Posted Rates HOWLAND, Ohio,
March 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Howland Township today announced a fixed
price of $9.45 per thousand cubic feet (Mcf) of natural gas from
its preferred supplier, Commerce Energy of Ohio, Inc. This
preferred rate for Howland residents could save a customer almost
15% from the Dominion East Ohio (DEO) rates that were filed
according to the monthly gas cost recovery (GCR) filing with the
Public Utilities Commission of Ohio for March. The rate will remain
in effect from the May 2006 through October 2006 gas flow. Unlike
Commerce Energy's guaranteed rate, the utility's rate is subject to
monthly fluctuation. "At a point when natural gas prices have been
soaring to all-time highs, we are very pleased to offer Howland
residents the best fixed price around for the next six months and
will lock in a price for the upcoming winter heating season," said
Rick Clark. According to the Howland's consultant, Tom Bellish of
Buckeye Energy Brokers," the first year of the bulk buying program
is off to a good start with the announcement of the upcoming fixed
price locked in that brings stability amidst intense volatility in
the natural gas market," said Bellish. There is no cost for
enrollment; however, residents and businesses must enroll by April
28, 2006 to participate. The toll-free Commerce Energy telephone
number to enroll is 1-800-355-9742. Residents and businesses that
are currently served by other suppliers should be aware of the
obligations in their existing contracts before joining Howland's
Natural Gas Aggregation program. About Buckeye Energy Brokers, Inc.
