--BT Group plans to cut thousands of jobs, having cut 4,000 employees last year, as part of an overhaul to gain investors' favor, the Financial Times reports, citing unnamed sources.

--Analysts estimate that the company could announce about 6,500 further redundancies when it publishes its full-year results next week, according to the FT.

--BT shares have nearly halved in value over the past two years, as the company has lowered its financial targets and been hit by an accounting scandal at its Italian business, the FT reports. The company said it wouldn't comment on the report.
