ELKHART, Ind., Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Thor Industries, Inc. (NYSE:THO) today announced that it has hired Rick Schutt as Director of Community Engagement. In his newly created role, Mr. Schutt will be responsible for developing stronger relationships with school and community leaders to promote the RV industry and enhance Thor's ability to positively impact the areas where our subsidiaries currently operate.

Mr. Schutt was most recently a lead news anchor for WSBT-TV CBS, South Bend, Indiana.  Previously, Mr. Schutt served as an anchor at WICD-TV ABC, Champaign, Illinois and WSJV-TV Fox 28, South Bend. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health, with a concentration in Business, and holds certification from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting.
