offices are celebrating recent recognition from the Effie Awards
and the Global Effie Index. Y&R New Zealand, Peru and London received honors at the latest
Effie Galas and Y&R ranked among
the top 10 agency networks in the Global Effectiveness Index.
At the 2017 North American Effie Awards Gala last week, Y&R
New Zealand took home the Grand Effie trophy for "The McWhopper
Proposal" campaign for Burger King. It was also awarded a Gold
Effie in the Restaurants category and a Silver Effie in the Carpe
Diem - Products category. The campaign aimed to raise awareness for
the UN International Day of Peace and proposed competitors Burger
King and McDonald's create the McWhopper and donate proceeds to
Peace One Day.
Additionally, Y&R London received the Bronze Effie in the
Seasonal Marketing category for the Royal British Legion campaign
"Portraits Behind the Poppy." The campaign recreates portraits of
World War I soldiers with current service men, women and
veterans.
At another Effie celebration Y&R Peru took home the Grand
Effie, and Gold Effie in the Beverages category, for its campaign
for Backus "De Vuelta al Barrio" (Back to the Neighborhood).
Y&R rose three spots to number four in the Global
Effectiveness Index Most Effective Agency Networks ranking. In the
Most Effective Agencies list, Y&R Istanbul ranks number one in
Europe and eighth globally. Other
Y&R agencies, Argentina,
Budapest and New Zealand, also ranked globally.
