BRAZIL MINERALS, INC. RUNS
MODULAR GOLD RECOVERY PLANT
PASADENA, CA -- February 14, 2017 -- InvestorsHub NewsWire --
Brazil Minerals, Inc. (OTC:
BMIXD) (the "Company" or "Brazil Minerals") announced today
that the new gold and diamond modular recovery plant located in one
of its mining concessions in the Jequitinhonha River valley in
Brazil is near operational status. A gold-recovery centrifuge, the
last of the five machines of this plant, was recently installed.
The plant's first test run occurred last Friday and the centrifuge
successfully retrieved gold from material processed. Today the
Company is finalizing an upgrade of the portable diesel-powered
generator used for the modular plant, as each of its five
components has its own motor and a need for stronger power output
was observed. It is expected that after this change, the plant will
be ready to run operationally.
In related news, a long-term equity holder in the Company has
agreed to provide funds through direct stock investments in both
Brazil Minerals and in Jupiter Gold Corporation, a subsidiary of
the Company, to allow for the acquisition of a second
industrial-size gold-recovery centrifuge. Such machine could be
used to nearly double the gold production of this first modular
plant, or as the basis for a second modular plant for recovery of
gold and diamonds. Brazil Minerals has enough auriferous and
diamondiferous material already excavated as well as the ability to
retrieve new material to run more than one modular plant at the
same time. A second plant would most likely be placed in one of the
Company's other mineral right areas for gold and diamond.
Attached below are photographs of the installed centrifuge and
of material to be processed in the testing of the plant.
