MUNICH, Jan. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- MobileIron
(NASDAQ: MOBL), the security backbone for modern computing, today
announced that synfis Service GmbH, a technical service
specializing in sophisticated equipment and systems for banks and
savings institutions as well as manufacturers, retailers, and
medical technology organizations, has adopted the MobileIron
platform to mobilize its key business processes. MobileIron's
enterprise mobility management (EMM) platform was implemented
by LINEAS Informationstechnik GmbH, a company based in
Braunschweig, Germany.
synfis has a long history using mobile devices. In 2006,
employees began using BlackBerry devices and the corresponding
management tools. In 2016, the technical service provider migrated
to MobileIron.
"We chose MobileIron because we needed a platform that works
with all the major mobile operating systems, with proven success in
longstanding, productive use," explained Kai Pfeiffer, Head of Process & IT
Management at synfis.
At synfis, smartphones and tablets are now the primary devices
used for work, with an company-developed service app controlling
the key processes. In a move to maximize the time employees spend
processing customer orders, the company uses mobility to minimize
the time required for administrative tasks while performing on-site
service calls.
Mobilizing order processing for service quality and
security
With mobile order processing, synfis ensures accurate and
uniform recordkeeping of employee time spent handling orders, which
allows for straightforward, consistent processing of all customer
orders and eliminates the need for subsequent order
documentation.
synfis must meet the highest security and reliability
requirements as a technical service provider for banks and savings
institutions as well as for retailers and medical technology
organizations. With the MobileIron platform, the entire customer
support system benefits from faster response times, a higher level
of security, easier on-site operation, and optimized service
quality.
"We have already achieved important goals with our Mobile IT
initiative, such as setting service standards in our industry, and
clearly differentiating ourselves from our competitors," said
Pfeiffer.
"Mobile technology is the most powerful tool that companies can
use to accelerate their business processes. synfis is a great
example and we are proud that they selected MobileIron," said
Peter Machat, Director, DACH &
Eastern Europe, MobileIron.
"As an agile software and consultancy firm for customized
software, cloud solutions, business apps and Enterprise Mobility
Management, LINEAS consistently develops the most suitable solution
for its customers, enabling them to gain a competitive advantage
through efficiency, high quality and speed. Together with synfis,
we were able to reach this goal, which naturally makes us very
proud," said Wolfgang Bauer, Head of
