Two-day Fort
Worth auction attracted 4,600+ bidders from 56 countries,
incl. 3,200+ online bidders
FORT WORTH, TX, Dec. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ - Ritchie Bros. held
its fifth and final Fort Worth, TX
auction of the year this week, selling 4,950+ items over two days
for US$40+ million.
More than 4,600 people from 56 countries registered to bid in
the November 30 – December 1 auction, including 3,200+ bidders
participating online. U.S. buyers purchased 91 percent of the
equipment, including 47 percent purchased by Texas buyers. International buyers from as far
away as Hong Kong, Cameroon, and the United Kingdom purchased nine percent of the
equipment.
"We saw a record number of bidders for this time of year," said
Bill Hogan, Regional Sales Manager,
Ritchie Bros. "This week's auction featured a great selection of
oil, gas, power and utility equipment, general construction,
vocational trucks and transport trucks, with strong bidding
activity producing steady pricing across the board. We would like
to thank all the sellers and buyers who participated in this
auction or any of our auctions in 2016."
Ritchie Bros. sold equipment for 500+ owners in the auction.
Highlights included 255+ truck tractors, 385+ trailers, 90+
excavators, 75+ compactors, 65+ skid steers, 50+ loader backhoes,
25+ dozers, a large selection of drilling equipment and more. All
items were sold without minimum bids or reserve prices.
