Item 5.02.

Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

 

On October 7, 2016, Sam J. Jenkins informed the board of directors (the “Board”) of Jernigan Capital, Inc. (the “Company”) of his resignation as a member of the Board, effective immediately. Mr. Jenkins’ resignation was due to personal reasons and was not the result of any disagreements with the Company, the Board or management. Mr. Jenkins has served on the Board since March 2015 and has also served as a member of the Company’s Audit Committee and Compensation Committee and as the chairman of the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee.
