Advisors, Inc. today announced that Hugh M.
Tarbutton, Jr., has joined Triad as Senior Vice President of
Business Development. A veteran executive with 20 years of
financial services and wealth management experience, Tarbutton will
commence his tenure at Triad by focusing on recruiting and business
development, but will apply his expertise to additional projects
across Triad as he gains increasing familiarity with the company.
Tarbutton will report to Nate
Stibbs, Triad's Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy
Officer. Triad Advisors is a leading independent broker-dealer
supporting independent hybrid financial advisors and registered
investment advisory (RIA) firms, and is a wholly owned subsidiary
of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (NYSE MKT: LTS).
Tarbutton, 53, comes to Triad following completion of a two-year
contract at Ameris Bank, where he served as Director of Wealth
Management, developing the bank's investment advisory business and
managing its brokerage firm, among other projects. Prior to Ameris,
Tarbutton spent several years at SunTrust, most recently as Senior
Vice President and Manager of its Wealth Solutions Group within
SunTrust Private Wealth Management, and, before that, as Senior
Vice President – Director of Products and Services for SunTrust
Investment Services. He also served as Managing Director – Manager,
Products and Solutions for Alexander Key Investments, which merged
with SunTrust Investments to form SunTrust Investment Services.
Before that, he was Vice President and Manager of the Equity
Strategy Group at Robinson-Humphrey Company.
