VISTA, Calif., March 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Eco Building
Products, Inc., (PINK: ECOB) is pleased to announce that more
lumber yards are placing orders for the Company's Eco Red Shield Advanced Framing Lumber in
the Northeastern US in association with the Company's wholesale
partnership with Sherwood Lumber Company. Recently, Sherwood sent
in orders for Shrewsbury Lumber www.shrewsburylumber.com of
Shrewsbury, Massachusetts to
fulfill a second Eco Red Shield job
in the Boston metro area, and
Woodhaven Lumber & Millwork www.woodhavenlumber.com with five
locations in New Jersey supplying
another Sandy residential rebuild project in New Jersey.
In support of the Company's increasing customer lumberyard
activity and an increase in demand for the product, Eco's Technical
Teams have begun reaching out to the Specifying Community of
Architects and Engineers looking to garner their professional
support on defending wood fiber strength beyond just the sill
plate. Eco's Architectural Blitz is focusing on creating enhanced
awareness for "whole house" protection in defense of lateral
engineering values and builders who could potentially become the
target of mold litigation and construction defects lawsuits.

Eco President and Chief Executive
Officer Steve Conboy commented that
"For a brief moment, think about Eco's awareness campaign has
accomplished and how this approach has already begun to foster
awareness for "whole house" lumber protection. It's vital to
understand that this concept, albeit new, brings about much needed
awareness and concern pertaining to ongoing building destruction
resultant of excessive moisture, termite attack, and wood-rot decay
for more than just sill plates. We knew that our actions would
upset the Companies that pressure treat for the supply chain, but
it was more valuable over the course of time to prove that this
product is here to stay because the rest of the house needs to be
protected, as well as the sill plate that anchors all buildings to
the foundation. We are confident that coated advanced defensive
interior framing lumber is the future for all wood-framed
buildings. As we continue to evolve and navigate our way into the
heart of the national supply chain, you will soon witness Eco cross
another bridge, as more and more lumberyards across the country are
starting to find our protected lumber products specified on
building plans and suggesting this protection in each quote. We are
more confident than ever that the Specifying Community is listening
as a direct result of their Eco encounter geared toward safer
protection, and the tale of the truth about lumber handling and
storage."
Mr. Conboy provided further commentary on the Company's current
state of business, "These are exciting times as we cross the final
bridge in raising the bar on how we frame American wood-framed
buildings and gain entry into the National Lumber Supply Chain.
Eco, with its Advanced Protected Framing Lumber has found its place
in the National Home Builders Market and now reaching from coast to
coast. Now that there is protected lumber product supported by a
10-Year Limited Warranty in the National Supply Chain available in
over 125 locations around the US, we are out to educate Builders to
offer this protection on every job potentially mitigating
themselves from future mold related lawsuits. We teach builders to
offer this protection on every job; they don't have to sell it. If
the homeowner or builder refuses to pay for the added protection,
then we teach the builder to have their customer sign off that they
declined the protected lumber package, just like a coating for
paint at a car dealership. The Lawyers that try to protect the
National Builders may want to take similar action because when the
Lawyers for the Plaintiff side of a Mold Litigation suite find out
that there exists protection that could have been used to avoid
mold that grows on wet lumber, the more of a target the Builder
will become. The National Home Builder Association put out a report
(linked below) that makes things very clear on how mold can grow
fast on wet lumber; they just left out the part about how it does
not take a leaky window or roof to make this mold grow since the
moisture of lumber is enough. At Eco, we are doing our part to
train and support builders and specifiers when it comes to teaching
them why mold is more prevalent today than ever before, but more
importantly, we provide education on how to defend themselves if
they just offer the protection on every piece of lumber on every
project proposal.
