Grand View Health Renews Contract with Zix Corporation

Zix Email Encryption instills confidence with partnering organizations and hospitals

Zix Corporation (ZixCorp), (NASDAQ: ZIXI), a leader in email data protection, announced that Grand View Health has signed a three-year renewal contract for Zix® Email Encryption. Grand View Health has been a ZixCorp customer since 2010 and uses ZixGateway®, a policy-based email encryption service, to automatically protect email communication for 1,000 employees.

To improve patient care, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services provide financial incentives to providers who show Meaningful Use of their Electronic Health Record (EHR) technology. Email encryption assists providers in protecting electronic health information and patient privacy, as outlined in Meaningful Use objectives.

All organizations that use ZixGateway, including more than 30 Blue Cross Blue Shield Organizations and one in every five U.S. hospitals, form the Zix Encryption Network. For Grand View Health, its employees automatically exchange all emails securely and transparently with more than 250 organizations in Zix Encryption Network. ZixCorp is the only vendor to offer automatic transparent email encryption for both senders and recipients, where messages are decrypted without any extra steps or passwords.

For any emails sent outside Zix Encryption Network, ZixGateway scans the content of the message and attachments. If the email contains sensitive information, it is automatically encrypted and delivered to recipients using ZixPort®, a mobile-friendly secure Web portal.
