Publication details the company’s strides in building a culture
of sustainability and in making a positive difference around the
world
IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS), the leading global source of critical

2013 Sustainability Report. The report, which is available online,
provides a progress update on the previous year’s successes and
highlights upcoming sustainability goals and objectives.
Among its major achievements for 2013: IHS was named for the
first time to the Dow Jones North America Sustainability Index. The
company also exceeded its goal of 10,000 colleague volunteer hours,
with nearly 16,000 total hours shared in the communities it
serves.

Rankings 2014” list of the top 500 US companies that are generating
the most revenue with the least amount of environmental impact. To

elements to the IHS sustainability program added in 2013, included
a materiality analysis, goal setting and commitments across the
business, as well as Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) mapping.

sustainability is embedded within IHS and throughout the company’s
culture.
