Company Expands Application to Include School Attendance Due to
Demand for Solution in California
MARIETTA, GA--(Marketwired - Jun 3, 2014) - StudentConnect
Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of East Coast Diversified
Corporation (OTC Pink: ECDC) (PINKSHEETS: ECDC), today announced
that it will begin to offer School Attendance Solution in
California after several school districts requested to have the
solution implemented.
The StudentConnect which is designed to provide Transportation,
Class and School attendance monitoring has focused exclusively on
the transportation application. In California approximately 12% of
Students ride on school buses while a majority walk to school,
dropped off by parents or ride bicycle. The need to monitor the
safety and attendance of student walking or riding bicycle to
school has become a priority for most schools. The program will be
expanded nationwide.
StudentConnect will provide significant peace of mind to parents
by providing immediate notification regarding Student's safe
arrival and departure to and from school. The system will also
provide schools with critical data regarding attendance critical
for state funding and truancy. In the event of emergencies system
will allow schools to know which students are in
school. Notification will also allow parent to become more
engaging in the attendance record of the students.
