and technology company, today announced that it was recently
awarded four new Internet Security patents in Japan: JP
Patent Nos. 5,377,562, 5,374,536, 5,374,535, and 5,377,455, and has
received a notice of allowance in Canada, two additional notices of allowance in
Japan, and six notices of
allowance in the United States,
which should result in several new patents. Since 2006,
VirnetX has been granted over 75 patents worldwide related to
Internet security.
Patent development is attributed to the VirnetX research and
development team, headed by VirnetX Chief Technical Officer and
Chief Scientist, Dr. Robert Dunham Short
III, which includes the scientists who created the original
inventions that are the basis of VirnetX's patent portfolio.
