March 25 Event Includes 7 Free Webcasts on Timely Investing Topics; Open to Public

Gone are the days when people could rely on Social Security and pensions to build retirement wealth. Today, retirement means investors need to take a more active role in individual planning. TD Ameritrade, Inc. (“TD Ameritrade”), a broker-dealer subsidiary of TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation (NYSE: AMTD), wants to help educate investors on the different ways to plan for retirement and will host a free investor education day on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

TD Ameritrade’s Investor Education Day will feature seven webcasts on a variety of topics, from the state of the market and generating income in retirement to retirement plans and IRAs. Anyone planning for retirement – whether just starting out or already enjoying their golden years – can benefit from this event. Each webcast will last approximately one hour, and investors can pick and choose sessions based on their individual needs. The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 10 a.m. EDT and end at 8 p.m. EDT.

“Retirement is changing: People are living longer, health care costs are rising and Social Security is finite. Investors need to understand how all of these things can potentially impact their retirement plans,” said Robert Miller, managing director of investor education for TD Ameritrade. “As a leader in investor education, we know many investors struggle with these issues, and we want to help provide them with insights from industry experts to help them pursue their financial goals.”
