Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI), a leader in slots, video
machines, casino-management, interactive applications, and
networked and server-based systems for the global gaming industry,
today announced that the South Point Hotel Casino Spa is
implementing Bally’s award-winning iVIEW
DM and Elite Bonusing Suite solutions to engage and
excite patrons at its Las Vegas Strip property.
The South Point will be the first Las Vegas property to use
iVIEW DM and the Elite Bonusing Suite applications to enable
interactive, floor-wide player-bonusing applications such as
instant slot tournaments, Virtual Racing™ events, and U-Spin™
real-time bonusing on most gaming devices with a touch-screen
display.
iVIEW™ displays and iVIEW DM will be deployed across the floor
at the South Point. Installation is scheduled for May 2012. The
South Point Hotel Casino Spa plans to host Virtual Racing events in
which each player chooses a horse to wager on and watches the race
unfold on the in-game screen.
“We have been long-time partners with Bally Technologies and are
excited to take our partnership to the next level,” said South
Point President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Gaughan. “It’s
essential for us to find new and exciting ways to provide
entertainment for our players, and events like Virtual Racing will
provide a lot of fun for our loyal guests.”
Cliff Paige, Director of Slot Operations at South Point, adds:
“In all markets it’s especially important to stand out from the
competition, but in Vegas, it’s even more important, given the
level of competition. Being the first casino in Las Vegas to
feature the excitement of Bally’s Elite Bonusing Suite solutions
will do just that − make us stand out. We’re confident Bally will
provide the great support needed to make this a total success.”
South Point operators plan to gradually implement other Elite
Bonusing Suite applications, including DM Tournaments™ and U-Spin
Bonusing.
“We are very proud to continue our relationship with such a
first-class property as South Point by implementing our
trailblazing iVIEW DM systems solution,” said Bally Technologies’
President and Chief Operating Officer Ramesh Srinivasan. “This will
help continue the growth of our iVIEW and Elite Bonusing Suite
products. It’s truly an exciting time to be at Bally.”
