Universal Detection Technology (www.udetection.com) (OTCBB: UNDT),
a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect
people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats, and
provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services,
announced today that it has received Central Contractor
Registration from the U.S. Government.
The Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system is a highly
secure, single repository of vendor data used government wide. A
CCR registration is required prior to being awarded a contract with
any federal government agency. The CCR also serves as a search
engine for contracting officers, a marketing tool for small
companies, and a link to procurement opportunities and other
important information. It also provides links to the online
Commerce Business Daily, federal agency home pages and other
sources of procurement opportunities.
Universal Detection Technology's biological weapon detection
equipment is used extensively by first responders and private
industries throughout the country. The equipment, including UNDT's
5 agent biodetection kit certified by the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security, has been evaluated by the U.S. DoD as well as
the United Kingdom military. UNDT is also a supplier of Chemical
and Radiological/Nuclear Weapon detection equipment.
"The CCR was a necessary step for us in order to participate on
federal bids for our CBRN detection equipment," said Jacques
Tizabi, CEO of Universal Detection Technology.
