Dollar Steady Ahead Of U.S. Durable Goods Orders

(RTTNews) - The Commerce Department is scheduled to release its durable goods orders report for May at 8:30 am ET Friday. Economists expect durable goods orders to have declined by 0.7 percent month-over-month. Excluding transportation, orders may have remained unchanged.

Ahead of the data, the greenback held steady against the other major currencies.

The greenback was worth 1.1075 against the euro, 102.54 against the yen, 0.9769 against the franc and 1.3760 against the pound as of 8:25 am ET.
